Our name, “Las Ventanas”, reflects our dual essence (Innovation and Industry District and cross-border cooperation project), since as a name it is both a metaphor and a symbol at the same time.
The window, as a symbol, is an opening that allows light and air to enter a space. It is also an approach to the outside world. The window, as a metaphor, is a structure that frames a world and makes it visible. It is the union of two different but close realities. It is longing and security; curiosity and movement.
“The Windows” is that framework that highlights a possible reality. That unites two worlds, Mexico and the United States, under the same idea. The idea that economic development and regional growth happens when committed people come together to make grand visions a reality.
